Speaking to His disciples, Jesus says in John 4:35, “I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”These words of Jesus apply to the reality in Africa today.

For the past 60 years, I have had a front-row seat to the revival happening in Africa, and I can assure you that the greatest days of the church in Africa are still ahead! It is a young, vibrant church on a continent that has the youngest median age of any continent in our world. Africa’s Hope exists to facilitate training that equips the church in Africa to disciple the nations in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are believing for a healthy church to be established within walking distance of every African, and we are convinced that the best way to accomplish this is by raising up Spirit-empowered, biblically trained African leaders. The Africa Assemblies of God Alliance has set a goal of planting over 300,000 new churches across Africa over the next 10 years! What part will we play in this audacious vision? There are three critical components to seeing this vision become a reality:

YOU, as a strong advocate for Africa’s Hope,
the AFRICA’S HOPE TEAM, developing and distributing resources, and
the CHURCHES we partner with who are on the front lines in Africa.

TOGETHER we must continue to develop and distribute contextually relevant materials for the African church to shape the next generation of church planters.

TOGETHER we must translate materials into the heart languages of those who are being called and empowered by God’s Spirit.
‍
TOGETHER we must invest in Bible school leaders and teachers.
‍
TOGETHER we must ensure that students have access to libraries, computer labs, and resources to better prepare their heads, hearts, and hands.
‍
TOGETHER we must invest strategically in infrastructure and provide scholarships that produce more harvest workers. We dare not say, “Four more months and then the harvest,” but rather, “Today is the day of salvation. Now is the appointed time.”
