In the last several years, Africa’s Hope has cataloged, labeled, and shipped nearly 50,000 library books to Bible schools in Africa. We have worked with publishers to provide thousands of new texts at no cost and have processed and shipped tens of thousands of quality used books donated for this purpose. Our goal is to provide a basic library to every major Bible school that we serve in Africa. The challenge is that up to this point, most of our schools have had no library or one that is woefully inadequate. In addition, schools rarely have staff trained to formally catalog books or to supervise a library. To meet this challenge, we catalog and label every book we contribute, and we offer a free computer program that provides intensive training for librarians.
